The Team: PTI Operations
This position is as a team member of PTI’s Inspection Division, which is responsible for designing and developing the most sophisticated non-destructive container closure system inspection technologies in the world.
The Role: Shipping and Receiving Associate

- Work with global sales team members to support annual business development goals.
- with Business Development Application Engineering Manager & Global Technical Services Team to support both developing and existing projects.
- Work with both Sales and Engineering Teams to determine sensory technologies, hardware, software reporting, product sample testing and reporting, and inspection system requirements for potential customer applications through lab work and field/virtual product demos.
- Support global sales team members with inside sales projects and growth objectives.
- Developing results and technology presentations for sales and marketing.
- Providing technical support for sales and marketing.
- Suggesting and testing of new applications and technologies that can improve product performance.
- Involves direct interaction with customers.
- Respond to sales team member’s and customer’s needs in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
- Involves both domestic and international travel and customer interaction.
- Advanced application support for customer installations and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping & Receiving:
- Support Shipping Manager in receiving ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
- Support Shipping Manager in Preparation and processing of outgoing shipments.
- Support record keeping of shipping and receiving documentation, such as bills of lading and tracking information.
- Stock Room Operations:
- Support regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Collaborate with the purchasing supporting forecasting and counting activity to help optimize stock levels.
- When needed support kitting of parts and materials to production orders based on production schedules and work orders.
- Support inventory management with timely and accurate distribution of parts to the appropriate production areas.
- Ensure that all necessary parts are included in each kit and that kits are accurately labeled and organized.
- Deliver kits as directed to the appropriate workstations in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. I’d list this first.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move items up to [75] pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
