The Team: PTI Inspection Division
This position is as a team member of PTI’s Inspection Division, which is responsible for designing and developing the most sophisticated non-destructive container closure system inspection technologies in the world.
The Role: Controls Engineer
Description:
Are you a dynamic thinker? Do you gravitate towards sensory technologies and their application? Do you have a strong understanding of both electro-mechanical engineering and software? Do you like interaction design?
If you answered the above questions affirmatively you may be a fit for this position. PTI is seeking someone deeply interested in controls systems engineering ranging from basic pneumatic and sensory measurement to complex automation projects. The role is in constant collaboration within the controls team as well as between software and mechanical engineering.
PTI is an equipment manufacturer that engages in both bench-top inspection solutions as well as large scale automated systems. The primary focus of the position is to ensure the measurement accuracy of the system, reliable operation through controls systems design, and developing efficient user interactions with the equipment through HMI’s and other graphical means. A secondary focus is on the development of sensory technologies and how they apply to package inspection.
The role is positioned on PTI’s R&D team, focused on the development of new applications and custom engineering to help support the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries with leading edge engineering and a focus on critical packaging applications.
The employee will be responsible for designing, selecting, and implementing components and developing the logic for PTI’s proprietary technologies. The position will be responsible for programming, documenting, training and release testing of finalized technologies to the various industries PTI supports.
Some travel, both domestic and international, is expected.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of job experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
